MP3 Control Escape - Generation of Waste

Control Escape pounds out manic guitar tunes and political ballads heavily influenced by Pavement, Stereolab, and Mad Season.

10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: American Underground, ROCK: College Rock

Control Escape formed in 2006 when its songwriters Ken Adam and Peapod
abandoned city life and moved to rural Freevillle, NY.

Generation of Waste, the band''s debut LP, was tracked and mixed at Radon Lab, Weasel Land Records studio in Central New York.

Chock-full of double meaning and self-deprecation the album comments on the young American experience. From the addled addict, "It ain''t like I wanted it. It ain''t like I''m good.... I''m back on the drugs," (Back on the Drugs) to the homesick soldier, "sitting in Iraq with an MRE...yeah, Big Mac, when I get back," (Iraq) the songs portray a generation coping with their inherited future.

"Erased", an early release from the album, is getting frequent play on college and internet radio.
