Kevin Bonner started playing on stage at the age of 8. In the beginning, he sang along with his brothers and father. Irish and folk music were the first music that he performed. Learning harmonies of some of the best ballads as well as performing current hit songs of the 70"s.
At age 16, he and a few brothers and friends started an all original band called Sun Merchant. This band continued in one form or another until 2002 - 2003. The band was in the process of releasing their first CD when they broke up.
It was thought at this point that the music may never have been released. However, upon further urging from family and friends, Kevin decided to push forward. A few more songs were written and recorded in Kevin''s studio and added to the others. At this point Kevin had written, recorded and engineered his original songs giving you what you hear today. All but two songs from this release were done exclusively in Kevin''s studio.
The determining factor for Kevin to release these songs was to help his family in their time of need. Situations beyond their control put them in the position of needing a more stable future that Kevin thought he could help to provide with any level of success from these recordings.
Hopes are high that "you" will enjoy these recordings. My goal is to get these recordings in front of music lovers, bands, producers, etc. A certain percentage of the proceeds from this CD will go to aide children in need.
