Back in November 1999 I was sitting at my desk when the receptionist called and said a friend of mine was on the phone but, wouldn''t give his name, I said put the call through and all of a sudden I heard a voice that I hadn''t heard in about 25 years. It was my friend Frank Carillo who I grew up with and played drums in a band back in the 60''s. He invited me to hear him play that night and off I went to a club on the West side of Manhattan. When I walked into the club and saw him it took me back to a very special time. A movie was shown that night starring Frank and Ricky Bird (Joan Jet). The movie was about them writing a song over a two day period which was fantastic. After the movie was over they sang the song depicted in the movie and a few others. I was "struck by lightning". That Saturday I wrote the first song I had ever written (Young in the Sixties)and started to teach myself to play guitar. I have continued to write, record, and play my songs around NYC and this CD is the culmination of the last nine years. I hope you enjoy it!
