do you remember how you felt when you met someone - who was so hot - that your eyes fogged over?
did you ever have to start all over again? in a new place? with someone new?
did you ever feel like you were in hell? or heaven? or both?
the songs on the cd are about that.
if you like blues, singer/songwriters, good lyrics and stories, or if you like to laugh at life a little, then you will enjoy the cd.
what kind of tone do you like? do you prefer happy? sad? or sinister? they''re all here - sometimes in the same song.
do you throw parties? write music? or play an instrument? then you and your friends/audience will enjoy the cd.
do you commute? then you will really enjoy the cd.
do you need coasters for your coffee table? a mobile for your kid? stocking stuffers for the holidays? a unique paperweight? then you''ve come to the right place.
pick up one for a friend, too. it''s okay. you have my permission.
please tell everyone about it and help me make millions of dollars so that my wife gets a big check. then we can send you a huge finder''s fee. thank you.
if you and/or your significant other enjoy love songs and fun rockers that sound a little like cat stevens or harry chapin, then pick up a copy of greg hyde''s cd "testing the water"
here''s a poem from my book "salinas blues" that has "happy", "sad" and "sinister" in it:
moved to a salinas apartment, looking for some peace
had to give her all my money, before i could sign the lease
the place is very expensive, but her face is very nice
she said "availability happens, if you are willing to pay the price"
had to have a new image, boost it with some speed
financed until i turn 40, a sports car is just what i need
the payments are very expensive, but her face was very nice
i thought of the places i''d drive her, who cares about the price?
met my local preacher, i was looking for some grace
had to confess all my sins before i could leave the place
he asked the lord''s forgiveness, and he offered some advice
he said "your salvation is certain if you are willing to pay the price"
my wife took all her belongings, and some of mine as well
she broke all my blues records, and told me to go to hell
my life is finally peaceful, and my place is very nice
you see? good things happen, if you''re willing to pay the price
