Details:
From her home in Dallas, Kimberly has been wowing audiences around the North Texas and Northern Louisiana area for the past five years. She has performed at venues such as: Johnnie High's Country Music Review, The Grapevine Opry, The Garland Opry, The Wyle Opry, Poor David's Pub, The Oaklawn Opry, The Main Street Music Review in Denison, TX., The Plano Opry, and The Mesquite Opry.

Kimberly was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but has lived in Dallas since she was 2 years old. She obviously considers herself a "Texan." Her passion for country music began to developed at the age of 12 when she became very active in horseback riding. (specifically in western pleasure and cutting horses). Country music was played at every event and it became her music of choice as she entered high school.

Kimberly's vocal interest was obvious after winning several music competitions while in high school. She sang in her school choir, church choir, and has had vocal training since she was 14. Her current vocal coach is Linda Septien of the Septien Group. Linda recently stated, "this 21 year old, has a voice of rich maturity, peerless vocal skills, with a twist of freshness on a traditional country sound. Her songs are focused on Millennium concurrences and offer hope and fun!" (Linda is the voice coach for Sony, Jive and Universal as well.) Kimberly's ambition and goal is to become one of the top female entertainers in the country music industry and sign with a major record label.

Her musical influences include: Patsy Cline, Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn, Tammy
Wynette, Juice Newton, Jamie O'Neal, George Strait, Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson.

The songs selected for her Demo CD came about in an interesting way. A very good friend of Kimberly's, who is also an artist, gave her a U.S. Mail crate full of demo songs that he had. After listening to literally hundreds of songs, the one song that stood out was "I Believe." This song was co-written by Gayla Borders, Jeff Borders, Lowell Alexander and was published by Sony Tree and Acuff Rose. The friend is one of Curb Records top male artist and all of the songs in the mail crate came from Leann Rimes.

The Song "Make Him Mine" was co-written by Jamie O'Neal, (with Mercury Records) Robin Lee Bruce, and Roxy Dean, published by Big Tractor in Nashville. Any women that has found that special "someone" on whom she wants to make her best impression can especially relate to these lyrics.

"Ain't Gonna' Look Back" was co-written by Robin Lee Bruce and Christi DenneMiller, once again published by Big Tractor. Kimberly chose this song because it's all about making a choice and moving forward, not looking back once a decision has been made. This speaks of her personality. She has always been one to look forward and has a positive attitude about most situations.

"I Want It All" was co-written by Robin Lee Bruce, Roxy Dean and Cooley McCabe yet another Big Tractor publication. Kimberly chose this song for two reasons: first, quite frankly, she does want it all; secondly, the lyrics, the up beat tempo, and the instrumentals make this song just a good, down-to-earth country song.

Recently, all four of Kimberly's songs were tested within the Commercial Mainstream and Modern radio markets. The 15 to 20 radio stations that participated within this process were NMW (New Music Weekly), BDS (Billboard), FMQB (Fm Quarterback), and R &R (Radio and Records). The purpose was not a test of familiarity, but a test of music acceptability to target audiences.

The ratings are based on a one through "four star" basis. Songs with four stars are strongly recommended for promotion. The results for Kimberly's songs were very impressive. "Make Him Mine," "I Believe," and "Ain't Gonna Look Back," all received a "four star" rating. "I Want It All," was rated at "three stars," which still was strongly recommended.
