Details:
Formed in 2005, the Flashing Reds are Mike “Diplomat” Adamowicz (guitar, harmonica, and vocals), Justin Kisch (keyboards and vocals), and Anton Lund (drums and backing vocals). Based in the Boston/Providence area, they have played throughout New England as well as Montreal, Toronto, Memphis, and Nashville. Mike is a veteran of several bands on the local scene, including the Misprints and Metro Crossing. Classically trained on piano, Justin is a church organist and also directs music for community theatre productions. Anton has played drums and guitar in several Boston and Providence bands - he previously played with Mike in The Misprints. His present role with The Flashing Reds began as engineer/producer of their self-titled debut CD, on which he also played drums, guitar and bass.
The Flashing Reds blend rock, folk, and Americana styles into their own unique sound. Influences include R.E.M., Ben Folds Five, the Jayhawks, Neil Young, Counting Crows, Aimee Mann, and Elvis Costello.
The Flashing Reds continue to tour throughout New England as well as further afield. Check the website for upcoming shows.
