The inspirational, contemporary Christian song, “For I Will Yet Praise Him” was written based on the biblical scripture in Psalm 42. “It was conceived by God inspiring David, inspiring me! When I read this particular passage in July 2007, I was so profoundly enthralled by the phrase…”For I Will Yet Praise Him.” In spite of the inner turmoil David was feeling at that time, he poured out his fears to the Lord, and continued to declare his faith and trust in God. I believe that so many of us can relate to David’s intimate relationship with God…whether it’s asking for help, carrying us through times of sorrow, or sharing and acknowledging our victories in our times of joy. God is our rock, our refuge and our strength, a very present help in times of trouble. I believe that God’s message in this song is to give hope to a discouraging world. God will make a way, even when there is no other way. Just remember, with God, all things are possible! I know that God can use any and all of us to glorify His kingdom. I boldly step forward to answer what (I believe) is God’s calling.”
Suzanne Gomez began writing songs in the late 80’s, but has devoted most of her time to teaching school in the Houston area and from 2007 to the present, she sings in the Lakewood Church choir. With a melody in her heart and new found love for songwriting, she wants to dedicate her time, talents and gifts to the Most High God.
