All of the songs on this album are peaceful and reflective, melodic and worshipful. Just Derek and the piano, or guitar. Derek''s heart is to encourage and tend the hearts of people that cross his path. He and his wife tend the hearts of missionaries with encouragement and listening, laughing and crying together. Doubling the joy, and halving the sorrow.
Derek is no stranger to hardship. His first wife died shortly after giving birth to their third child. Many of his songs are embellished with empathy and deep understanding.
