ObjectDefyle most recently played "Feed The Soul" a concert promoted by Vigilant Promotions, and The Jimi Hendrix Liquid Experience Energy Drink, in association with Linc Entertainment, for benefit of Musicares and Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans.
Nick started recording at Wisdom Records Studio in early 2003. That summer Joe and Nick recorded "You Always Will", "Out of Place", "Groove", and "Can Not Roll". Later that year, Katy recorded her vocal for "You Always Will". Nick, Joe, and Katy did "Rawk Us" 1st, and then when Joel returned to town he joined them to record "Too Much Beer", "No More Parents", "Once a Whore" and "Slaying Her". After that session, the engineers edited "Out of Place" as per their request, to alott space for solos. Then Joel added the solos and extra rhythm guitar. Actually some of Joel''s guitar work was recorded by himself, at home, in his room, on his computer. In December 2004, Nick and Joe recorded the drum tracks for E-Minus, and "Wish You Were Hole"@ Joe''s apartment. Next, the band played "E-Minus" and "Shut Your Mouth" at Wisdom Records Studio in 2005. The last thing to be recorded was "Wish You Were Hole". The song was going to be scrapped because the drums were off... but Joe just HAPPENED to be in town that night, and he came up to the studio and banged it out on one of drum sets lying aroung the studio. Joel, Katy and Nick all played guitar tracks on "Wish You Were Hole". They even tried to talk an engineer into playing guitar as well, but he declined in a very polite and professional manner. The last song to be recorded was "Acoustic Beer" which was done by Katy and Mark. There was quite a large delay in finishing the record, b/c Katy, Joel, and Nick were all temporarily displaced by Hurricane Rita. After returning to their home city in late 2005 Katy and Nick spent time in the studio w/the engineer re-mixing the record until 2006. Mark continued to work on the project until Katy took over the mastering duties in 2007. Katy finished mastering the record in 2007 when it was released. The band continues to record new material for an E.P. that will be released as soon as is slackerly possible.
