Young Haze was born on April 20, 1988 in Camden, New Jersey. Although he was born in New Jersey he was raised in the rough streets of Philly were he learned from a young age that he needed to “Hustle or be hustled.” Haze attributes much of his success to his mother and aunt who helped get him through many hard times as a child. His early influences include Biggie Smalls, Jadakiss, Beanie Segal and more recently 50cent.
Young Haze is known for his smooth flow, punch lines, and realistic street content. He has the unique ability to perform many styles of urban music due in part to his heritage. Because his father’s family is from Trinidad, West Indies, Haze was exposed early on to some of the rich cultural sounds and attitudes of the Caribbean people. He is known among his peers to be a “tough intellectual” who brings his street credibility to prose like an Urban Poet. When combined with his gritty rhymes, his swagger, charisma, and tremendous stage presence, have allowed him to dominate local freestyle battles.
Haze was recently featured with Young Peedee in his first rap video “They Don’t Like That.” He has also been signed by the up and coming hip-hop label Certified Coach Records and has just released his single “Buy That.”
