Matulovich…Always in the studio, recording or mixing new tracks for Us Krew or Us as individuals. An MC/Engineer/Musician/Producer, my influences derive from my Reggae, Hip Hop and More recently ICM (Classical Indian Music) backround. I always loved music of Reggae artists such as Lee Perry, Bob Marley, Burning Sphere, Max Romeo, and Isreal Vibration. To more modern Buju Banton, Capleton…Ect….
When it comes to Hip Hop, my influences has varied from Old School such as Rakem, Run-DMC, Doug E. Fresh, movies like Beat Street and Wild Style along with those good old fasion street jams tapes we used to Break Dance to as young https://www.tradebit.com more modern Hip Hop influences was cats like Wu-Tang, Heiroglyphics, Jeru Tha Damaja, The Coup and the Shape Shifters along with many others not mentioned but who are promoting good vibes currently across the culture.
When it comes to Classical Indian Music, I’ve of course been greatly impacted by the great, Ravi Shankar and Ali Akbar Khan whos’ school in San Rafael, CA. I’d highly recommend on going to for interested people who are willing and able to. However, I’m not extreamly familiar with a lot of the greats of ICM, as my exposer is more recent and not as long as some of my other influences. Nevertheless, I’m but begining to enter into a journey with ICM by myside and in the future will incorperate concepts and ideas into other forms of music I create.
