Kayos Theory is raw, cutting edge hard rock that has it''s roots in ''80''s hard rock and heavy metal. Formed in 2002 as a union of musicians from a family of bands in Everett, WA, Kayos Theory has solidified its membership with four players: Mike Mitchell (lead/rhythm guitar, lead vocals), Shawn Jagnow (rhythm guitar, vocals), Jason Call (bass guitar, vocals), and the newest performer, as of May 2004, Sean Culp (drums).
Kayos Theory has a small but solid local following, and the recent addition of Culp looks to break the scene wide open for the band. The music is gritty, creative, and diverse. Unlike many in the current trend of alternative rock bands, Kayos Theory has steered away from screaming punk-based music, towards more melodic and classic hard rock. The band''s musical influences are varied elements such as Motley Crue, Soundgarden, and Led Zeppelin, but the final product is uniquely Kayos Theory.
