Details:
Triple Threat is the first release from new label, Mediocrity Records: Where not bad is good enough! This is a combo release of all three bands in our line up currently.
Foam Pit Frenzy is from Santee, CA.
The lead singer is Joel Porriorriior, a formerly homeless ex-felon who at the tender age of 17 had already spent time in prison for assault, weapons trafficking, and multiple red light violations. He was discovered at a shelter, while singing in the shower, by David Newlamb, the band’s Lead Guitarist and sometimes singer.
David was not homeless, but found the shelters to be an easy place to pick up chicks, who were impressed by his small studio apartment in the mean streets of San Diego’s roughest corridor, La Jolla. David was so moved when he heard Joel singing that day, that he dropped his bowl of free soup and ran to the bathroom to see who this beautiful voice belonged to. There, in the men’s room at St. Vincent De Boner’s Homeless Village, the two formed the band.
After two rehearsals, Joel and David realized that other bands have Drummers and bassists, so they wanted them as well. Joel found Remy Schlemy, the bassist, by posting an ad in OUT, San Diego’s gay and lesbian magazine. Remy regularly reads OUT seeking opportunities to work as a gigolo to support his gambling habit.
David found Curly Fry, the drummer in a chance encounter as he nearly ran him over in an Arby’s drive through as Curly was being thrown out the window and fired for adding his own very special sauce.
All four band members currently reside in David’s very small studio apartment and have all taken to David’s hobby of picking up women at homeless shelters.
Two Step Stereo is originally from Keizer, OR, but now is based in San Diego, CA.
Two Step Stereo was formed when gipsy brothers, Michael and Pavel Russkovian (guitarist and drummer respectively) accidentally kid napped Zach McCracky, the bassist and lead singer. The brothers were attempting to kidnap a well know bare knuckle boxer, but mistakenly got Zach instead. Upon finding out that he could not fight, the brothers decided to force Zach to learn bass in 1 week to front their Calypso band. Soon after, they all figured out that they sucked at calypso, and decided to switch to ska-punk. As a ska-punk trio, the band found early success and both Pavel and Michael have recently married groupies and taken them back to the gipsy camp, leaving Zach searching for replacement band members and groupies. Zach has since moved to San Diego as part of a witness relocation program.
The Snippety Dicks are from Snippy, CA, just outside of San Diego.
They consist of a constant rotation of at risk youth that band manager, Jef Nueram, bails out of Juvie in hopes of finally making a friend.
