TONE FULTZ

Hailing from Aliquippa, PA, emcee/producer Tone Fultz brings his own brand of streetwise Hip-Hop music with classic flavor and a humorous twist. Born Antonio Fultz, son of accomplished R&B songwriter Mervin Steals of the songwriting duo Mystro and Lyric responsible for such classics as “Could It Be I’m Fallin’ in Love”, music has always been a part of Tone’s life. Influenced by pioneers such as Slick Rick, Nas, N.W.A, Jay-Z, and Scarface, Tone had been developing a raw rap style since his middle school years.

Growing up between Aliquippa, Ohio, and New Jersey, Tone had always impressed his friends with written raps or freestyles that touted his emcee skills, street credibility, and sexual exploits while still highlighting the humor and moral lessons of every situation.

Upon graduating from high school, Tone landed his first record deal with an independent label out of Ohio. However, his first taste of professional recording went sour and Tone was once again a free agent perfecting his skills and looking for a new situation to harness his creativity on the world stage.

During the late 90’s Tone linked up with fellow Aliquippa resident Dane Cosby aka “The Dimented Wordsmiff”. “Dimented” had been making a name for himself in the nearby city of Pittsburgh, PA. Pittsburgh was home to such Hip-Hop notables as Aftermath producer Mel Man and Death Row Producer Sam Sneed to name a few. Dimented was very active in the local spoken word and theater scene and was in the process of putting his poetic rap style to beats with the help of local Hip-Hop producer Oyo Ellis. Once Dimented introduced Tone to the Double “O” Sessions crew a new wave in Tone’s creative development began in his new alias as the Messiah of Madness.

Constantly recording and producing with Oyo Ellis and Dimented, Tone began to take his rap style to another level. Though Tone had found a new home for his creativity he was constantly networking and soon began an association with the Wu-Tang Clan affiliated group, KillArmy. Through his affiliation with KillArmy and Wu-Tang, Tone went on to produce numerous songs for their affiliated independent labels, Wiseguy Entertainment and Black Globe Records while continuing to produce numerous tracks for regional artists.

Now signed to CA’s Perfect Records, a new era in the Tone Fultz legacy begins with this EP featuring Triple Beam Dreamz and Trick Niggaz.
