Vocal/guitar driven pop-rock with many layers and textures for those who like to climb inside a song

9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: British Pop

Whether it's the jazz-influenced title track, the guitar driven rock of "Guess," the melodic ballads "Catch" and "From Where I Sit," or the slightly-psychedelic "Sugar Pie," listeners are likely to find something that appeals to them as they take the journey through this album.

As for the name, "Kicking A Dead Horse," no one seems to "get" who (or what) the "Dead Horse" is yet. The band isn't telling . . . they'll just let you guess!

Meanwhile, the musicians on this record are:

Augie Corica --- Drums, percussion
Mike Blythe --- Guitars
Adrian James --- Bass, acoustic guitar, keyboards, Vocals

Tim DeHuff --- Electric guitar on: From Where I Sit,
Where To Now and The Dead Horse.
Jimmy Austin --- Piano on: Where To Now

This record was recorded in Rangeley Maine at Admiral Jack Clair's house over-looking Rangeley Lake. Jack is retired but at 88 still very active. He writes short stories, (one of which Adrian recorded him narrating. Hopefully they will publish his work one day.) It is extremely generous of Jack to open his house to the band for their recording projects and it is much appreciated.
Kicking A Dead Horse has just launched a new website as well, thanks to the help of Derek and friends at cdbaby. It is definitely a work in progress right now but there are a few new sound clips of the latest material available for listening. Visit (Be sure to sign our guestbook to let us know you were there!)
