It's About the Sound - An energetic collaboration of Phoenix's best professionally performing acoustic artists on Haight Guitars handmade instruments.
Norman Haight has been hand building guitars, one at a time, for 20 years. This CD represents the good will and high esteem Norman has garnered from many of Arizona's Valley of the Sun professional acoustic artists.
In a whirl wind one weekend marathon, each artist recorded original tunes playing one or more of Norman's instruments. Only on this CD can you hear the fantastic quality Norman builds into each of his instruments so well demonstrated in every genre of music from classical to reggae to jazz. Sit back and enjoy the musical journey this CD takes you on and you too will be Lovin' Haight Guitars.
This album celebrates not only the talent of song writers and performers, but more importantly, the instruments which let them bring their dreams to life. Norman Haight has been building these magnificent guitars since 1989 and his luthierâs uncanny ability to individually voice each instrument so that all the wood in the front and back respond to the vibrating strings has come to be appreciated by many players who realize how different this is from a standardized factory instrument. An exclamation of, âWow!â is not uncommon the first time someone plays a Norman Haight handmade instrument. This CD lets you hear for yourself in a wide range of music styles. We know you'll enjoy this album and invite you to become a member of the ever expanding family of Haight Guitar lovers.
Haight Guitars is proud to offer a place where you can experience for yourself the difference a truly handmade instrument can make in your enjoyment of music. It is our pleasure to work with you to get your dream instrument into your hands.

Walt Richardson II Music for healing and peace is how Walt characterizes his reggae style music. Walt has been singing, songwriting, and playing guitar ever since he can remember. Walt says that standing alone with a guitar gives him freedom of expression, and for him, that's where it all begins. It is an intimacy which touches each audience member and gives rise to the message behind the music. Walt believes that inspiration is one of the greatest gifts we can share with each other, and music allows him to share this gift with all of you. Open Your Light was written for this CD to celebrate the creative light in all of us. Walt played the Haight Tree of Life, Billy Cioffi played the Haight Butterfly, Olivier Zahm on bass. Walt Richardson II appears on the Lovin' Haight Guitars CD courtesy of Guild Guitar by Fender, and Moon in Virgo Productions.

Michael Cerio Miguel plays lead and rhythm guitar in the duo DelSoul, adding a nice flair to the fiery rhythms of the Spanish guitar by playing his own unique blend of rumba style with a sweet grace and beauty. With a wide repertoire, DelSoul plays original music as well as many traditional cover songs with their own âspicyâ flavor throughout the Valley of the Sun. For this CD, he joined with Adaupto âTatoâ Caraveo to write and perform a number called Gadjo. This piece blossomed into a French gypsy piece featuring the 19th Century poem: L' Aubepine et l' Etoile. Michael Cerio played lead on the Haight Myrtle Wood Classical guitar. Olivier Zahm composed the song, did the voice tracks and contributed background rhythm guitar, Billy Cioffi played the Haight Mandolin.
Adaupto Caraveo âTato:, as heâs known, loves to play his stand-up bass. He can be heard playing it on Vespers of a Summer Night and The New American Wild West Rodeo. For this CD, he joined with Michael Cerio to write the number called L' Aubepine et l' Etoile. He performed rhythm guitar on the Haight Bees Wing Eucalyptus and his beloved stand-up bass.
Olivier Zahm & Electric Lotus Music Olivier is the genius behind the recording of this CD. His studio, the Electric Lotus, offers everything a recording artist could ask for, both in vintage and cutting edge technology. But more importantly it comes with the totally talented, musically astute, not to mention good looking & French, Olivier. To wit, check out the French gypsy track. Olivier took a wonderful duo guitar piece and added his song composition with the 19th Century poem: L' Aubepine et l' Etoile, and his voice, creating a whole new experience. We all thank Olivier for the care he put into producing the "live performance" feel we wanted.
