While on a kick-ass road trip through the States, two chillers by the name of Joe and Wayne were passing by a cornfeild place that was looking for more people to work on it, the two chillers needed money to fix their guitars and to get food so they decided to go do it.
A week and seven days went by, they had gotten their guitars fixed, and they were going on a break after a hard mornin picking. They started talkin to two other workers by the name of Frank and Age, Frankie had his Harps with''em and Age had with him his Bongo''s, Joe and Wayne grabbed their guitars and asked Frank and Age did they wanna kick out the jams wit them by the tree over there, they all agreed and started runnin for the tree.
On the way they fell over something, it was a guy, anotha chilla, by the name of Tim, they asked him how he got there, he said he didn''t know, that he was in dublin the night before, he didnt care, he had his guitar with''em. They were all staring at each other for about a hole minute, Tim said, wanna Rock it.................. (they all replied) like a HOT SPROCKET!!!!!

PETE''S ONE TO WATCH
BLUES-ROCK with a healthy dose of attitude, The Hot Sprockets do it like no others.
This is Country Dirt Dublin style, and it''s pretty dang good.
With influences from The Stooges through Chuck Berry to Led Zepplin, theirs is a heady brew of diverse and energetic sounds.
With a growing legion of fansbehind them, the bands biggest gig was last April, when they supported The View at The Ambassador.
Not Bad for five local lads who met picking corn in America one sizzling hot summer - or so the story goes.
With their debut EP set for release later this year, these guys are set to make waves in 2008.

Five guys from Dublin form a band is hardly breaking news, but when the band channels laid-back, chilin'' on a sunny afternoon blues rock it could be. No relation to American MOR purveyors Toad The Wet Sprocket (thank fuck!), The Hot Sprockets were belched forth from a shared love of blues music, jammin'' and rockin'' out, which happily produced a litter of melodic offspring that caught the attention of Connected''s collective ears. Give your listening gear a tickle with all the janglin'' slide guitar, finger-pickin'' and soulful singin'' (reminscent of Kings of Leon''s ''Caleb Followill'') goin'' on. Altogether great stuff — check out tracks ''Creepin'''' and ''Solid Gold'', it''ll cure what ails ya. Sprockin''. (Sorry!)
