The unique fusion of electronic and ethnic sounds portrayed through a variety of musical styles is the most attractive feature of this album, which delights the most experienced ear in a journey of electro-acoustic scenes. Quantum-music, the style created by the Mexican band, makes imagination fly to distant lands where the aroma of Mother Nature reminds the connection between Earth and her environment. Full of color, this multi-instrumental collage is an exciting mixture of magical flutes, energetic rhythms and sacred chants that converge into a quantum leap that will make every listener “enter a higher state of mind”.
Barbelo is the realm of the immortals, both Gods and Masters, and home of the divine. Barbelo is also the name of the Mexican, Monterrey-based band which has come up with a unique music style: Quantum music, a rich fusion of electronic sounds and ancient instruments. By means of this concept, the band intends to reflect and to make awareness of the spiritual relationship that exists between earth and human beings.
Barbelo, the band created by Daniel Treviño and Rodolfo Garza, has launched his first album "Ethnoaural", which includes styles ranging from electronic/lounge to contemporary ethnic music. Also, other styles such as jazz, classical and progressive rock, refine Barbelo’s unparalleled musical concept reflected in this work.
Mexican musician and composer Jorge Reyes, famous all over the world due to his contribution to contemporary ethnic music, has produced "Ethnoaural", where he also plays the flute and other perhispanic instruments in most of the themes.
About Daniel and Rodolfo
A “few” years ago, both met in Elementary school. However, they had not realized at that time they would be a duet until Jr. High, when they started to talk about the importance of spirit and consciousness and, naturally, about the greatest new-age hits such as those by Vangelis, Enya, Andreas Vollenweider, George Winston and Jorge Reyes. From this point, Daniel and Rodolfo began an association that resulted in friendship and in unlimited musical creation.
