While a serious student of music during her college years, Lisa Bodnar also found the time to be whimsical and spontaneous writing quirky love songs and melancholy ballads. Lisa would perform for her classmates in a reggae-inspired group and alternative rock cover band.
Today Lisa''s music is best described as an amalgam of folk rock styles that can be funky at times and then convey a depth of emotional feelings that even the hardest of hearts can comprehend. Lisa''s personal focus is on the piano, but recently has eased the sound of acoustic guitar into her styling. Lisa''s strengths are her voice and her passionate songwriting. At times even mischievous, Lisa lures the listener into her mind''s eye and shares her emotions. With an edge on life and love, Lisa allows us into her soul. She is not guarded but sings from her heart and shows us a vulnerable confidence that inspires.
Lisa draws inspiration from her surroundings. She lives in nature on a beautiful section of the Delaware River and feels a kindred spirit in its grounded path. She is quickly forming a loyal fanbase of diverse age groups and listening styles and is passionate about expressing her thoughtful take on life to all those who will listen.
Lisa has been touring with her 4-piece band regionally in North East Pennsylvania. She has opened for National Acts, such as the Badlees and has already been chosen as a Featured Artist on Philadelphia''s WXPN.
