HIP HOP/RAP: Rap, LATIN: Latin Rap
I 1st started getting interest in rap 7 years ago, after I met this homie who was in a rap group. It was an off and on thang, but rapping at tha park was always tha big thang. (Never putting it on paper) In 95 I met tha homie Jo-zay (of U.N.I. Click) we began to chill and I''d roll to his crib where tha U.N.I. Click would record in a bedroom.
I still remember tha 1st time I grabbed tha mic, they looked at me like what tha fuck. Tha U.N.I click had east coast flavor and I had Chicano flavor...I introduced them to Chicano rap and they felt it, but I was still not serious about rapping. Then tha move.... I planned on changing my life, by moving to St. Louis where my prima offered me a job. It was then when I found an old ass tape of my brother (Dirty Sin) and I flowing to tha Nate Dogg/Snoop instrumental of "Never Leave Me Alone". I then started writing at least a verse every night..................
I had Hermi-Hot (of U.N.I. Click) send me some beats from Tampa. I then started promoting myself and got a chance to spit at Planet Hollywood...........after that I knew this is what I wanted to do...so I called Dirty Sin and told him come to tha STL, we then performed at a spot called Hypoint, thanks to MDB.
We recorded 2 cuts off a karaoke machine; it was all we had, so we sent tha tapes. Thanks to tha homies Arthur Coy jr., Mellow Man Ace, Tone Mendoza, Jay Tee, and a special thanks to tha true homie Slow Pain/OLD TOWN GANGSTAS for their thoughts and advice. Now back in Tampa not on top (YET) but 2 steps up from where we started.
