Studying piano, saxophone and flute from a very early age, her talent and commitment to music were evidenced through numerous awards from classical music competitions.
The core impetus behind her music, its cross-genre influences and ethnic origins is her vast experience with a variety of styles including Latin, gospel, folk, and the American Classical artform know as, Jazz. Her latest projects involve elements of Afro-Latin and South American rhythms with contemporary urban grooves. A past Artist-in-Residence for the National Endowment of the Art''s ''Jazz Artist in Schools'' Program, her Bachelor of Music is from Drake University (in Flute and Piano Performance).
