I was born and raised in San Diego and have been a Christian for nine years. In the first 7 years of my Christian life I was bound by an addiction that literally controlled every part of my life. I was put into two rehabs, three Detoxes, and a mental ward where they took my shoe laces and left me with an emptiness that I thought would never get filled. The worst part of it all was the separation from the God who I know loved me so much.
Almost a year ago today, I had an experience with the Lord that I find hard to explain to people, more importantly to do it justice. I know in that moment I was delivered from an addiction that kept me bound for seven years that could not be cured by medicine, doctors, rehabs and the best treatments around. In a matter of minutes it was gone, just like that! For the first time in nine years of being a Christian, Jesus became real to me. God has given me a purpose! He has called me to lead His people INTO worship. I desire nothing more then to bring people to the realness of God. I am not an entertainer or a performer. There is a quote that says, “God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.” I love that! Never in this life would I have thought I would be doing what I am doing now. In Ephesians 3:8 the Apostle Paul describes himself as “Less than the least of all Gods people.” He means with out God’s help, He would never be able to do Gods work. God chose him to share the Gospel and gave him the power to do it. I feel unworthy of this calling, by far the least qualified to be doing what I am doing, but for some reason God is allowing me to share who He is through worshiping and glorifying Him. My prayer is for Jesus to become real to you. If it’s through the music God has given me, or through some other way, I pray He becomes Lord of your life. Thank you for reading.
