The CD MORAVIAN PHILARMONIC ORCHESTRA - Music Composed, Directed and Produced by ANDERSEN VIANA brings five different pieces, three of them divided in movements. This album starts from "Concert Piece in Blue" for violin and orchestra composed in 2002 which is a rhapsodic piece of great musical effect in which various themes are developed by the solo violin in a variety of interconnected tempos. The orchestra also functions as a soloist in addition to providing accompaniment within a style that ranges from classical Jazz and contemporary music to the use of folkloric rhythms, synthesizing both Brazilian and international elements. The second track, a Suite of Brazilian Children''s Songs composed in 1998 is a tonal work in concerto style, with excellent audience appeal. The Micro Suite is divided into four different movements. The "Overture" features the brass section as soloists set against the rhythmic structure provided by the strings. "Mystery" is an excellent piece to set the scene for a defenseless young girl walking down a dark and deserted street where, supposedly, a malefactor lies in wait. The Quattuor is also divided in four different movements and the serialism is utilized as the medium to attain a macro-structure that transcends the twelve-tone technique. The Symphony n#3 is entitled "Terra Brasilis". This ethnic symphony describes Brazil, its roots, its fusion of races and beliefs, its land and its people.
