Northeast Records proudly presents The Ignorant’s debut full length album, Loaded Statement. The record features 15 tracks in only 32 minutes. Songs like “Last Road” embody the essence of the band from the harmonic backup vocals and upbeat guitar riffs, to the lyrics that critique their heroes and declare their love for touring, even when people in the audience could care less, as they sing: “So we can play in front of five people, We’re going broke and we don’t care, Cause this is all we want to know, And when we’re on the road every night seeing the dead in your eyes, It makes me feel so alive.”

While other songs like, “Motivation,” have lyrics that describe an overall lack of motivation, no comprehension of self control, and all around lack of desire to try, songs like “Not Gonna Stop Me” are riddled with angst and determination to continue the band with even more heart and dedication despite lineup changes.

The Ignorant (formed in 2002) have a sound all their own, which they draw from their mix of influences—’77 punk, blues, oldies and garage—including The Clash, The Plugz, X, Velvet Underground, Otis Redding, Bob Dylan and The Dickies.

Known for their high energy live performance to a full or empty room, The Ignorant can’t help but want to play shows, whenever and wherever they can. With numerous tours under their belt—the most recent a West Coast tour in the summer—and a previous 7” Belly of the Beast released on Rebel Sound Records in 2005, stay tuned for more shows and new material.
