Young Vegaz emerges from the Milwaukee Hip-Hop scene as a complete package. An artist who not only writes his own lyrics, but produces his own beats as well. Because of competition with local rappers, Vegaz stopped rapping over sampled beats and began honing in on his production skills so that he could sound different from the rest.
Coming from the north part of the country, Milwaukee WI, which is not known for any particular sound, Vegaz has used this to his advantage. Blending what seems to be the best parts of the east, west, and the dirty south, Young Vegaz has created a mix which seems to be a hit making formula.
Coming off with a New York feel in his delivery he has managed to develop a seductive tone to his voice that is sure to be popular with the ladies. While listening to his music it is obvious that this talented young composer is destined to join the ranks of successful artists that have preceded him.
The title of his first solo project “Underestimated” is well deserved. From the introduction, all the way through to the end, Vegaz pulls you in and holds you there with a complex variety of styles, rhythms and swagger.
It is rare that you can listen to a CD from start to finish and enjoy the entire thing. This is why Young Vegaz, being a relatively unknown artist, is truly an underdog. Or, if you will, is truly “Underestimated”!
