teh pressure to get "signed to a major label" teh heat was on demos (heard on teh self titled final edition) didnt make the cut and teh band decided foursome with producer mike varney, who had jjust produced W.A.S.P., icon then sold them to major labels for a good price. notto be so with this unique band who had the most progressive sound of the entire usmetal series in a song based format. vocal harmonies were brought in, guitar harmonies fleshed out and re arranging of lyricsrefined the sound but didnt realise the :big major label deal" as was teh case with hometown rivals Black n Blue. making this a truly collectible recording.
this album has been hailed as a classic of the era, and a turning point in the new band. causing a rift between members who were split between continuing on in the trail blazing path or to "sell out" all would be remedied teh next time up to bat for both wild dogs(Reign of Terror) and matt mccourt who left the fold for a solo album deal called dr mastermind.. the bonus tracks here represent the evolution and shift in priorities and you can see the direction the band is going with deen castronovo leading the way with his monsterous riffs and jeff marks'' searing guitar.
