WWF was birthed in hearts of Mary Luker and Michelle Patterson circa 2000 in Fort Worth, TX. They were dreaming about what might happen if you got a group of ladies together to worship Jesus in a home environment with no parameters or time constraints. They would be permitted to paint, write, draw, sing, read, sleep, yell, dance, play - whatever they needed to do to commune with their Father.
WWF started in a tiny 2nd story apartment. Girls from all different religious backgrounds would come to worship. They would sing out of the Scripture, encourage each other, eat yummy snacks, pour their hearts out to God however they wanted to, hear from Him and leave refreshed. Art and songs started to come out of these gatherings and more and more ladies came.
WWF started a new branch when Michelle Patterson & Cathleen Hobson moved from Texas to Colorado. The mountain ladies loved the concept of taking as much time as was needed to commune with God and participated with great fervor.
As the years have gone by, WWF has been raising up leaders to facilitate these types of gatherings. WWF embraces the power of every art form and documents the fruit of the gatherings (ie. writings, visual art, songs), as a means of encouraging women all over the world to be themselves in worship. They send out teams to encourage ladies in other places and help them dream up their own Women''s Worship Fellowship.
While there is no formula for a worship gathering, WWF wants to help make sure women are doing just that - gathering. Where two are more are gathered, there He is in the midst of them.
This is WWF''s first recording. All original songs by regular gals. Songs from Scripture. Some that sprang up spontaneously out of worship gatherings. Let it move you to sing your own song.
