I've been involved in drama and the theatre almost my whole life! I love performing and writing for the stage. Over the years, I have also had the opportunity to direct and train both young people and adults. Chances are, if you are reading this, you and I have a common interest!

Often, one of the hardest jobs is finding suitable material for auditions or public performance. A lot of small drama classes and schools often find themselves violating copyright laws simply because it is too complicated or downright expensive to pay the royalties.

That's why I've put together this collection of monologues for children. There are thirty-one monologues in all - some for boys, some for girls and 2 that could be performed by a boy or girl.

As well as some more famous pieces (like Jane Eyre and Alice in Wonderland), there are some wonderful speeches from lesser known characters that can really let a young actor shine! These monologues would be suitable for auditions, performance or study.
