Luckwell is the new project by Rupert Taylor. I''ve been in various bands since 1981. In the late 80s I played keyboards and then bass in indie jangle thrash heroes the Groove Farm, and in the late 90s to early 00s sang and played guitar with lo-fi noise pop merchants Girlboy Girl.
After Girlboy Girl came to a halt around 2003 I gave up bands and stuff and didn''t expect to return to it, but during 2008 I found myself coming up with some of my best songs since I started writing at the age of 8, and I felt the need to start recording again. The result is "Flavours of the Sea" which is my attempt to make an album that is as varied as the music I like to listen to, but works as a whole.
