Based out of Nashville, ShotgunDiary formed in early 2006 with Brett Moore on lead guitar and John Button on drums. Looking for something a little different to blend with their hard rock sensibilities, the boys brought Anna into the mix. Country trained but Rock inspired, Anna brought her unique voice to bear on the heavy riff laden writing. What evolved from the myriad of influences is a focused and unique sound. All the power, but with the easy listening qualities of a smooth female vocal. To complete the wall of sonic capabilities, Mike Tomlinson was recruited to handle rhythm guitar and backup vocals along with Jamie Nickens on bass.
The band draws their influences from several genres. Combining Rock and Alternative, with just a hint of Southern Rock, Punk and Metal.
Smooth feminine vocal styling contrasted with heavy grooves and hook-laden melodies provide the unique sonic landscape from which ShotgunDiary''s sound has emerged.
