Philip started his musical journey early in life, being taught to sing by his mother when he was four years old. He later developed a love for percussion, and eventually played in a jazz quintet at 13 years of age.
By the time Philip entered college, his musical taste and desire shifted towards contemporary jazz and classical music. Philip also discovered that the acoustic piano made a statement in the pieces that won his heart. He soon experienced a transformation causing his ear to be tuned to a menagerie of ideas, styles, and compositions.
Philip desires that everyone who comes in contact with his music, affectionately known as "Life Music", will walk away stress free and full of passion for life. He wants everyone to know that this music was designed to be a smooth musical ride/ adventure.
Philip has worked with many different artists in genres ranging from Jazz to meditative/healing and wellness. Philip believes making "Life Music" is one of the purposes for his life on the earth.
24 years of working in the music industry as a musician, a writer, and a composer has left Philip with an insatiable desire to create and compose melodies for all to experience. This CD is one in a series of instrumental jazz interpretations all composed and produced by Philip Baker for all the world to hear and enjoy.
