Details:
John Cody waited almost 30 years to record his music. He has been a performing musician most of his life. John grew up in rural Mississippi and was heavily influenced by the music of John Fogerty, Dan Fogelberg, Jackson Browne and other acoutic artists. When he went to college at the University of Mississippi he gave up drums for the guitar, and started playing with another student there, Johnny Nobles. During this time, the 2 Johns began writing songs both together and separately.
After college, he got a job in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he was joined by Nobles and they formed the acoustic duo "Horizen". Soon after they formed a new rock band called "The Guild". In the late 80''s, John moved out west to Colorado where he continued to write, perform and dream of recording.
What followed is this his album, "The Morality of Altitude", which flows with introspective ballads and southern rock songs that explore the nature of love, loss and survival. Rediscover the power of words.
