MARK VAN ALLEN / DOBRO , PEDAL STEEL, BARITONE ELECTRIC, ELECTRIC GUITAR.
When Mark heard Buddy Emmon's version of "Wichita Lineman" it was all over! He bought his first Pedal Steel and joined his first band that same day. It was a case of learn to play or get fired so he spent a lot of time practicing! 25 years and 200 bands later he still loves the Steel Guitar. It is so warm on those cold winter nights when he is alone !!
Mark has played all over the world and still loves doing it. He has played with everyone and there mama ! In fact , we met Emily Sailors (THE INDIGO GIRLS) the other night and he mentions to me casually that he played on their new album !! Geeez !! And of course Emily came over and said how much she appreciated what he did on the record. He is so modest :)
Mark also runs a 24 track production studio @ his home where in fact the last BlueGround UnderGrass record was recorded. If you need something done check out https://www.tradebit.com and look him up for some recording time !!
He is a credit to the industry and I am proud to know him and have the fortune of creating music with him. Check out this list of credits !!!

JOE KIRKPATRICK / LEAD VOCALS, ACOUSTIC GUITAR, MANDOLIN, BASS GUITAR, PIANO, DRUM PROGRAMMING, ELECTRIC KEYBOARD.
I have been performing for very small amounts of money since the age of 7. I started singing Everly Brothers songs in little restaurants in these swank tuxedos much to my dismay. I wanted to be Angus Young but my folks wouldn't have it. Anyway, I finally got to old enough to screw up my voice, grew my hair really long and started to play in local rock bands in South Florida. I figured out after a few years that indeed singing AC/DC will make you sound like you smoke two cartons of cigarettes a day. I also fell in love with what we used to call California country. Kind of Eagles, type stuff. Restless Heart , Steve Wariner , etc. Got into a top forty country band with my best friend Scott and we hit the road. We played all the same venues as Restless Heart and the bands we loved. Did some cool opening act stuff and even got to know alot of the people we admired so much. My favorite band though has always been "The Producers" from Atlanta and I got to know them pretty well through one of my dearest friends Mr. "H". His son is Kyle Henderson who sang lead vocals and played the s*&t out of the bass guitar in the band. Anyway, I used to pester the crap out of the other lead singer/guitar player in the band as well. His name is Van Temple and I would send him cds to listen and he would say " yeah , youre really good and stuff". So, he said I should come up and meet his attorney about maybe helping me out. So I did , met my wife while visiting Atlanta and decided to move here and live out the rest of my days. I helped form a band called "Trinket" that went on to record an album with RCA records and tour with Duran Duran , I worked with some friends from John Berry's old band in a group called "Cumberland" and we did pretty well in Atlanta and even cut some tracks @ EMI in Nashville on their tab. I eventually moved to Nashville and ended up playing bass for James Otto who is now with Mercury Records and doing pretty well with his new single " Days of our lives". I hope his album does great , he is a great person and really talented. By the way James , you owe me one for the no interest loan on the T bird !!! I ended up running sound @ The Boardwalk in Nashville and worked with alot of really well known bands and singers there. I had rock group there called Three hoopty three that just plain kicked ass. We played the Nashville and Atlanta area for awhile but broke up because the guitar player had a good day job ! That figures, next time I am going to look for an average player without a life ! I helped my friend Danny Johnson from Stepponwolf with some of the technical stuff for his solo album , I produced and played all the instrumentation on Zach Tubb's first cd. ( Ernest Tubb's grandson) , and basically kept pretty busy. This is starting to get long so, here I am back in Atlanta in the greatest duo with Mark and I think he and I should stop being the brides maids and get our own asses famous !! What do you think ? blah blah blah
