The Pones are a Charlottesville, Virginia-based alt-country group. Their music has the energy and urgency of rock but is played without drums, in a straight-up guitar, electric bass, fiddle and mandolin format. Their material ranges from rock-influenced numbers, to stripped-down Desire-era Dylan, to country blues, to old time.

Dwell is The Pones'' debut album. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered at their home studio in rural Virginia. It is currently receiving airplay on: WTJU FM in Charlottesville; WUVT FM in Blacksburg, Virginia; WMRA FM in Harrisonburg, Virginia; Somewhere Between, a roots music radio program in Belgium; and Dogtown Saloon, an Internet Americana station (https://www.tradebit.com).
