Details:
Shaped by the influences of Psalm''s life and travels on 4 continents and the fascinating diversity of people and cultures, Waking Up the Storm is a unique blend that defies narrow stylistic categorization.

The child of sojourners, Psalm has lived in the inner city USA, England, South Africa, and most recently Israel. She began writing songs at age 15 with a few chords in her pocket and an open mind. Some of Psalm''s most intriguing songs were written in Israel during the intensity of the Middle East conflicts. Waking Up the Storm is a result of the collaboration between Americans, Europeans, and Israelis, both Jewish and Arab. The album was recorded in several locations - Galei Tikshoret Studio in the Jordan Valley, a bomb shelter converted into studio in Haifa, and another in small town Illinois. It was produced by the new independent label MortalMusic Productions.

One could say that what Psalm''s music conveys is a kaleidoscope of images born out of time. If her dream came true, she might call her music IndieFolkRock- Acoustic Zeppelin meets Dylan - Prophecy. But how the songs are classified is up to the individual, for the music and words awaken the voice of our hidden emotions.

Now age 21, Psalm is studying in Chicago where she continues to write and perform.
