"The music I write is from my heart...and it''s what I''m feeling at the time I''m recording. Many times I''ll express my emotions through a piece as I''m composing it and I believe it translates through the music as the listener hears it and moves them in much the same way as I was feeling at that moment. My reasoning behind this comes largely from my painting background. I would visit museums and look at a painting and I would start to sense what the artist must have felt as he or she was creating that piece. I hope that my music moves the listener in that way too. That is my desire as a composer."
