"why am i reading all this crap and who would take the time to write it, anyway?" you may be asking yourself. or maybe you're not even gonna finish reading this, in which case this section exists merely to prove that a tree falling in a completely abandoned forest does, indeed, make a sound. a very obnoxious one, at that.
The Point Being: DoomsDayDevice is not an idea created with the hopes of cashing in on a current trend or, if there's a God in heaven, create a new one. it is a sound that has been eating at WybleZilla 3D's soul since childhood and has only recently become something tangible. it is a music that can't be duplicated with Earth Instruments. It is a language that can't be pronounced by human tongue. It is a sound that only wz3d and his brother, Sputnik J. Frey are capable of constructing. It is the exact combination-of-infomation-through-every-sensation required to deconstruct the human mind and still have pieces that can be rebuilt into their original being. It's is an extended middle finger to all musicians who think that theirs, is the only one way to do it. It is an abstract thought that stems from 2001:A Space Odyssey and ends somewhere . It's living life with an imagination, a sense of wonder, a positive outlook that is not so easily amused by the baby toys designed by the corporate zookeepers whose very existence insists that we choose to be entertained rather than create, an observing eye that is constantly aware of the big picture of "life, The universe, and Everything "and is careful not to get too involved in the meaningless vacuum that is the day-to-day paperchase of the "UN-evolved".
Its all of these things, but with a beat... Get it?so, indulge yourself in the vice of your choosing, drop all the baggage that you've picked up from your previous musical experiences and suspend your disbelief for just long enough to stop worrying about the constant soap opera of "MallWorld". It's a big, noisy universe out there........
We are DoomsDayDevice because we mean what we say,
We are DoomsDayDevice because we worship
the same destruction that we fear,
We are DoomsDayDevice because we speak the language
of The Poxyclypse and understand it.
We are DoomsDayDevice because we know what The End sounds like.
We are that mysterious, indescribable substance that has taken on the shape
of the treads of your shoe,
that you thought you'd scraped out and left behind,
but somehow was there with you all along,
stealing away ignorant bliss
and replacing it with constant awareness of the inevitable.
We are the ghosts of the dinosaurs
burning in the engines of Hybrids
on their way to Alternative Fuel Seminars,
causing only a small fraction of the pollution,
choking the world just a little bit softer,
with kinder, gentler hands
wrapped in the same dollar bills
as their adversary's.
We are the self-imposed glitch in the DNA-Chain
of the human race.
an undetectable pandemic
that is communicable through the imagination,
and destroys the receptors of the disorienting buzzing
you didn't even know was there.
even as it manipulated your perception of reality.
We are the nonsense you were told to grow out of.
We are that horrible taste
that you purposely placed back in your mouth
just to experience again.
We are that thing that makes no sense
yet still exists right behind you,
waiting for you to look.
We are the collective, unconscious appeal
to the creator,
to that giant, objective eyeball on the other side of the microscope,
TO JUST PULL THE PLUG
IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THE OUTCOME
OF THIS EXPERIMENT!
GIVE THE MONKEYS ONE SECOND'S WORTH
or, at least,
give us a chance to start over.
we didn't know this try counted.
now we know.
peace...or the extreme lack there-of,
