Gladhander was born at Sacred Heart Hospital on August 23, 2005. Guitarist Jack Gladly offered bassist Hans Glander a tincture of rock and suggested they invite along drummer Crash Anderson. The lineup of Crash, Hans, and Jack was built to be unstoppable. The members had known each other for years through the west coast music scene and JAMPAC. All three singer-songwriters had collectively decided to put their other projects on hold and return to their original instruments. Gladhander began playing the kind of music they loved for themselves. Based out of the college town Eugene, OR Gladhander planned on taking the music to the streets locally and then up and down I-5. “The economy and war situation has the people begging for some real music.”, says singer/guitarist Jack Gladly. Rock sensibility, strong melody, and a three piece showcase of talent brought them a local following. “Real live music is a necessity, along with erratic behavior to fuel a good live show.”, says Hans, who is known for his cross dressing and bass smashing. After years of touring and hard work Gladhander''s music has become a mix of northwestern influenced rock. Songs like "Pee girl", and "Tooley" earned them a label deal in late 2007 and their debut album "one against three" will be released Nov. 2008. “We all just want to make our parts as important as possible, for the good of the music.”, says Crash. “Gladhander was designed for the fans.” As for the future, Gladhander plans on keeping busy throughout 2009 touring in support of their CD and also are recording an acoustic album in the winter.
