A typical starving artist, Jonathan Rosenthal has always worked a 9-5 for his bread and butter. Although his true love has always been for music, it was a career in healthcare (mostly with seniors) that caused him to cross paths with Angela Pusateri in 2004.
It was on their second encounter at a doctor''s office that they discovered a mutual interest that would give birth to "The Granny Rapper". Angela said "I want to rap!", and then spit out a rhyme. Jonathan answered, "I can produce you!" Before phone numbers were exchanged, the song was already written in Jonathan''s head.
Together with Andres Ponce, a fellow songwriter, musician and producer, Jonathan and Angela recorded "Who''s Your Granny?" The next single, "305" was the follow-up response to high demand for The Granny Rapper''s 1st hit. Both songs were aired on WPOW, "Power 96", and the rest is history in the making!
Andres currently plays organ and writes all of the music for his band, Elastic Bond. Jonathan is recording with friends and sings and plays keyboard with The Miami Mix.
Granny Rapper is young at heart and still trucking down the highway of life, keeping it real. She is all about living it up and seizing the day, the pursuit of happiness and the betterment of life, and it is in this area that she''s an advocate for finding a cure for Tourette Syndrome.
