Cornerstone Church seeks to be a faithful, growing church that does not represent a specific ethnic community but brings together individuals of every culture, color, gender, age and level of society to demonstrate true community and deep Christian spirituality.
Cornerstone Church began in November 1986 in an old dilapidated building on the north side of Salisbury with twelve people in attendance. After 18 months of tremendous growth, the congregation moved into rented facilities in a three-story storefront in Downtown Salisbury.
After several financial miracles, in June 1996 the church purchased a building and property valuing 2.3 million on Webb Road. In the past ten years, the 22,000 sq ft building has been remodeled into a cutting-edge facility. The property, valuing 4 million, has been debt free since November 2006.
In March 2008, the Event Center,(https://www.tradebit.com) a 700-seat multi-purpose facility will be completed and renovations on the current building began.
Adrian J. Smith was hired in July 2007 as the Minister of Music and has led the Music Ministry to higher heights and deeper depths ever since. He came to serve along with his wife Kiyana and their three beautiful children. Pastor Godair and Adrian worked diligently to release a quality product while not giving in to modern-day commercialism.
When you listen to this project, you hear how the Senior Pastor, the Minister of Music and the Praise Team minister weekly at Cornerstone Church in Salisbury, NC. Adrian and engineer Mike Reavis of CMR Studios set out to capture the essence of a live experience while using a studio format and the result is "Welcome to Cornerstone."
