Details:
Rebecca started her musical journey in 1974. A singer-songwriter and guitarist, she performed original and popular songs in numerous coffeehouses, restaurants, and colleges to rave reviews.
A Joni Mitchell junkie, Rebecca spent many a night singing, playing, and writing songs of life and love. Other influences include James Taylor, Laura Nyro, Joan Armatrading, and Steely Dan.
In the mid 1980s, Rebecca had the opportunity to start performing at social and political functions. She has opened for Livingston Taylor, has sung with jazz and wedding bands, and has performed at over a thousand receptions all over the United States, including performances for Barbara Walters, William Shatner, and PA Governor Ed Rendell.
After years of performing other people''s songs, Rebecca longed to record her favorite original material. When asked to add lyrics to a melody written by bassist-friend Rob Cochran, "And Baby Makes Five" marked Rebecca''s creative rebirth. This collaberation resulted in a mutual admiration club, and a chance for Rebecca to realize a 25-year old dream.
Rebecca released her second album in 2003, "The Light of Shabbat," a collection of mostly original liturgical music. She currently works as a cantorial soloist, music teacher, and Hebrew song-leader. Her third album, "Ahavah Rabah" (with deep love) should be available in early November.
