Mike Philips, as well as being a poetic, visionary philosopher, is a recording artist. His eclectic style lacks generic definition. He believes that people are connected to one another by their differences; that which appears to be a border is a bridge.
He is Hiphop and believes in the spirit of Rock and Roll, but has a love of and is willing to explore a wide variety of musical avenues ranging anywhere from Metal to Drum ''n Bass or Punk Rock to Dub Reggae.
He did the photography, graphic design, distribution and wrote his first release. While he had help from several other local artists in the areas of recording and production he did not hesitate to perform those tasks when they needed to get done.
If the audience can get past the the low-budget, non-studio, basement recording and listen to the lyrics in these five songs they will agree that this man has the unique gift of being able to fit great meaning into small spaces.
