In 1999, she started acoustic performances in Shibuya, Shimokitazawa, and Kichijyoji area (Tokyo).In August the same year, she started produce her new album.
She was also started her band project, and it first show was held at Star Pine''s Cafe in Kichijyoji (Tokyo) as "Rika''s Band" in https://www.tradebit.comxt month, in October, she performed for NXNW in Portland, Oregon, and played acoustic 6 songs for her first performance in the U.S., and it was big https://www.tradebit.comch, 2000, this time, she performed for SXSW in Austin, Texas and performed in Seattle, San Francisco at the same time.

Rika''s performance fascinate the audiences both in Japan and out side of Japan, and we know she will change Japanese independent music scene.
May 2001, she released 2nd album "Daylight" from independent label.
Now, People in all over the world keep their eyes on this Japanese outstanding singer, Rika Shinohara through her performances and Internet.
