The story of Cadix goes back to the fall of 1992 when award-winning filmmaker Steve Sobel set out to document the rise of a fledgling rock band led by a troubled yet very talented bass player named Dillard Cadix. Within a year the band had developed a huge following in their home town of Santa Barbara, Ca. By the end of 1993 Cadix had attracted the attention of several record labels. On the eve of signing a major deal, Dillard Cadix mysteriously disappeared. He was never seen again. As a result the bright future that most certainly awaited the band ended before it even began. This CD represents the band’s only known recordings.
