About “Victory Waits”...
Calming, Soothing, Worshipful, and Deep are words used to describe Ted Trimble''s debut CD, "Victory Waits". The intricate and driving acoustic guitar work forms the bedrock of this album, an all original collection of ten songs including three instrumentals- one a unique arrangement of a Christmas classic. Mandolin and acoustic bass complete the foundation and are joined by electric guitar and drums on the faster tunes.
With many of the lyrics pulled from the book of Psalms, Ted''s open and airy vocal style provides a lush, smooth layer on top of the complex musical arrangements. But the real key that makes this CD work is a heart for God. For the joy, pain, struggles, and trials of this life, God is sufficient and “Victory Waits” for all of us if we are willing to surrender ourselves to Him....
About “Ted”...
Raised in the Texas Hill Country, Ted received his first guitar from his parents at age 10. He couldn''t put it down. Growing up, he was influenced by artists such as James Taylor, Crosby-Stills-Nash & Young, and Pete Williams (his brother-in-law). Playing in several bands throughout high school, he was nominated by his peers as the most talented graduating senior.
In college, Ted met up with a high school friend and began writing Christian songs. It was at this time that God really got a hold of his heart and Ted gave his life to the Lord. After college and a tour with the Air Force, Ted spent 15 years as an Electrical Engineer with Motorola.
All the while he was writing tunes and leading small worship groups here and there, but nothing full time. He kept hearing a small voice say, "make the music I created you to make"...
Knowing that it is his true gift from God, Ted left his engineering career in February of 2008, and set out on a journey to worship God in Song. He now leads Worship at Martin Methodist Church in Bedford and is continuing to write, perform, record, and produce the songs that God gives him. May these songs draw you closer to the One Who Is, and Who Was, and Who Is to come...
