What They Are Saying About Blues Binge
Bobby Parker: Guitar Player, Singer, Songwriter
"I really like Full Moon Saloon and Feel Like a King; Blues is in the House, I love it. Reg has got a lot of good songs, very well constructed; he did a great job on his second CD. Production of the whole project is hot! It''s really happening, everything with the sound is in line..."
Millie Jackson: Entertainer, Singer, Actress
"A good typical blues album, what you expect blues to be when you hear blues, like B.B. King, Bobby Bland, Little Milton..."
"When Reggie Wayne Morris and Company plugs in, it turns into a volcano" William B Smilardo, Chesapeake Entertainment..."Thumps up"..."To put is quite simply, Reggie has the right stuff" Larry Benicewicz, Music Monthly. These are some of the many quotes Reggie has received since the release of his first CD. Reggie has toured Italy, France, Hawaii and extensively in the Continental USA, performing at festivals, clubs, and concerts; engaging his audience with his incredible charm and humor he truly puts the "Show" in Show Business.
He is the only artist who has performed at the Baltimore Blues Festival nine consecutive years, one year both opening and closing the festival. With a strong house-quaking, back-beat stomping, boogie-woogie, rhythm and rocking blues, rhythm section which includes Ezell Jones on Drums and Chris Sellman on bass. While the music reflects the moods and grooves of yesterday, he also incorporates contemporary, often witty lyrics--as in the song Virus Blues--about the phenomenon of cyber love and the title tune Blues Binge showcases Reggie''s fine guitar work; he is sure to have the listener listening, the dancer dancing, and everyone partying from beginning to end.
Reggie hails from Baltimore and he plays the blues with an infectious passion. Having spent a great deal of his childhood on his grandparent''s farm outside of Charlottesville, VA, he was reared on Gospel at their local Southern Baptist Church the Blues was also a part of family life, provided by guitar, piano, and harmonica playing family members. Over the years Reggie has developed an upbeat, rockin'' style that pays homage to those who bore witness and spread the Blues News from generation to generation.
Blues Binge is Reggie''s second release on Round Robin Records. The 13-cut CD features all original songs of which seven are penned by Reggie and Gerald "Gypsy" Wade.
