Since forming the band in 1996 and releasing their first recording, Seeking Shelter, Shame has sold approximately 6,000 albums, toured regionally and internationally, and received media exposure through television, radio, and various print publications.
In the winter of 2003, the band ventured into the studio to begin work on Brighter Than Gold with legendary recording engineer Shelly Yakus and producer Nike Newman. The combination of Yakus'' and Newman''s studio talents, and a renewed passion from members of the band created the most mature Shame record to date.
Brighter Than Gold marks the band''s debut on Treasure Records.
