Details:
Unfinished Symphony was actually probably better named the "Undefined Symphony". I had many directions I was going to go, at one point two separate albums, one techno, one orchestrated. Then I started combining techno and orchestrated elements within some of the tracks and decided that it would just be a nice mix to combine them both. It definitely makes for a totally different sound, which is generally what I go for. My personal tastes can vary in a short period of time, and the change in genres and musical progressions keeps one''s brain hopping throughout.
It also almost became the "Un-complete Symphony" as I hadn''t had plans to finish it at all. I had lost my ability to write for a bit, my best work usually comes from trial and tribulation in my own life, and life''s just been too wonderful lately to be able to write anything! It''s true when they say you need to be a suffering artist to produce your best works!
Some information on the album art: Every bit of it is my own creation. The front cover is a combination of many scenes. The clouds from one of my random drives down I-69 a few summers ago. The grass behind the music sheet from a field on another trip down some road. The cliff face on the right is actually a piece of Camelback Mountain in Arizona - the mountain backdrop is from Virginia on my trip home from a friend''s wedding. Even the sheet music is "real!" It''s a bit from Jacquelyn''s Theme, converted to MIDI, then displayed as sheet music, copied over to the image editor and plopped on the old "paper" that started its life out as a solid rectangle. I generated the texture myself using some funky tools and filters. The back cover is a swamp in late-springtime near here. This pageís image is my violin. Inside of the booklet, transformed nature pictures. Long story short, all effects and imagery generated by myself!
With my employment changing gears to jobs that are actually up my alley of interests, I don''t know how much more time I will be able to contribute to my music project in the future. This will probably be my last album for at least a few years. Hell, this one took me 3 years to complete! However, I said the same thing about my last album, and look what happened? The last two were popped out back-to-back almost a year apart! Although Eternity released in 2002 had been worked on since 1999. Transverse Reality was released in 2003, and somehow I managed to cobble together an album in roughly a year''s time!
Anyway, on with Unfinished Symphony, I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did writing it!

01 Jacquelyn''s Theme - A theme to someone from the past. It will keep its place on the album as a lot of inspiration within stemmed from her influence.
02 Schwarzwald - This piece takes me back to Germany, driving through the mountains and hills. I often visualize some stormy night through the region in a different era, traveled by horse-drawn carriage lit by lantern light.
03 Destiny (Eternity 2006 Remix) - Eternity was such a great track, it just needed a new track to continue on the tradition! This track took a different route, but still the same great taste and goes down smooth!
04 Fuzzy Logic is fuzztastic. I decided to dabble in some drum n bass and see what I could do. This fun track is the result!
05 Gliding was inspired by Acen''s Trip II the Moon - no question. A little rave/happy hardcore going on here, but a little toned down with a Skuzz twist.
06 Trouble is the continuation of the orchestrated portion of the album. JXQ actually ended up using it in his album "My Voice". I wrote this piece during a particular arduous time, which gave me enough oompf to stretch my composing muscles in more dramatic incidental orchestrated music. This would sure make for a good battle scene between the Big Hero and the Evil Bad Guy.
07 Mach 5 - After the battle, everyone flew home at Mach 5, this track is another of my wonderful experiments in how far one can go stretching trance. I grow tired of the generic synths many artists often use, so I decided to go a bit further with this one and push the envelope at mach speed!
08 Defcon 1 - A continuation on the trance exploration, this track ended up having a military theme with some actual vocal sound clips in it, as only proper Trance should! I absolutely love the synth I used for the Red Alert, I had no intention on going this way with the piece until I played with that synth and found how much it sounded like a klaxon - and the rest as it would be, is history!
09 All Hallow''s Evil - This piece was written October 2003 as something sounding Halloween-themed in nature. A dark night with a moon, some spooky clouds and mysterious shapes poking about in the fog!
10 Spatial Dissonance - Yet another experiment-gone-album. I think I am the Gentoo of the music world. I release my heavy alpha and beta tracks to album as a full-release. I really like how this turned out. It''s simple with a small progression, but overall a nice relaxing sound for those Ambient fans out there.
11 Angst - This track was written on one of my trips to Arizona that ended up taking me all the way to California and then back to Michigan. I managed to get from Cali back to Michigan in 32 hours! The trip itself ended up really getting to me and several people found new and exciting ways to make me angry, but thankfully I had my trusty laptop with me to vent it out into this track!
12 Reunited - Meant to be the second piece in the original track layout, this piece ended up being more appropriate at the end of the album. Post-chaos those separated through chaos and turmoil return together again after growth in far away places, more worldly-wise and closer than ever before. At least that''s how the album''s story plays out!
13 In Closing - The final track, a combination of the laid-back trance/chill tracks that normally wrap up my albums, with a little more excitement, and the better-improved orchestration integrated as well. A culmination of efforts if one will, to wrap up the album, and possibly my musical creation for an undetermined length of time.
Life doesn''t stop here however, who knows what the future has in store!
Bonus tracks include two that I collaborated with JXQ to make but neither of us ended up using on either of our albums. They''re the aptly named "Dark Night" and "Attention Please."
