In the year 1757 the British, French and the American Indians were forming different warring alliances in a fight for control of the land. The British were being helped by a Chief and his son, the last members of the Mohican tribe while the French were being helped by Magus of the Huron tribe. The last of the Mochicans consist of Chief Chingachgook and his son Uncas, they are the last of their people. Two Sisters are at the fort looking for their Father who is the British Commander of a fort on the edge of the frontier. Cora and Uncas are attracted to each other. The French and Magua kidnap the two sisters. Chief Chingachgook and his son Uncas with the help of a white Frontiersman Natty Bumppo, known as Hawkeye try to rescue the young women.
