As a husband, father, anointed singer, song writer, and recording artist, Duane is walking in the call of God placed on his life. Songs of worship he heard as a young man originally inspired Duane’s desire for the presence of God. As he grew older, he developed a driving passion to carry the mantle of a psalmist. At the age of 20, Duane acknowledged his purpose and destiny: to inspire others to a lifestyle of worship through the ministry of song.
Duane’s ministry is a vital component of his local church, Living Waters Worship Center in Odenton, Maryland where he serves as the Director of Music Ministry. His powerful, Spirit-filled worship services have long-lasting impact on the lives of those in attendance. Duane’s sensitivity to the Spirit, passionate expression, and unique anointing has the ability to touch the seasoned saint as well as the soul still in search for Christ. He has sung alongside other great artists and ministers such as Donnie McClurkin, Alvin Slaughter, Mary Alessi, Vicki Yohe, Anthony Walker, Steve Lawrence, Jennifer Holliday, Peebo Bryson, and Bishop Tudor Bismark.
In 2005 Duane founded Duane Manns & So Alive, a group of anointed singers and musicians who have answered the call to take their unique brand of worship outside the walls of the church. Their live debut project, “The Experience,” is receiving national attention with a multitude of hard hitting praise tracks, reflective worship ballads, uplifting declarations of God’s glory and faithfulness, and much more.
